How do you start your day? What is your first thought? It is said that the way you start your morning is defining you for the rest of the day. This is why establishing your perfect morning routine is so important for a healthy and happy life.

So, if you start your day with loads of positive energy, by making your bed perfectly, with healthy breakfast and maybe a hot cup of coffee you are programming yourself to be the best possible version that day. This is important – for your productivity at your job, relations with people you work with, your family and friends.

Ask yourself now – what is making you happy in the morning? Do you start your day by getting up later than you would like to, run to your office feeling hungry and stress out for the rest of the day?

It is not really hard to change this – and the key is your habit.

How would you feel if you start your day the way you always wanted to? Maybe you enjoy meditating, or yoga, or maybe some quality training with your personal trainer. Maybe you need some vegetables, a long shower and some quiet time?

This is why I wanted to share some inspiring stories for you to motivate you to start your day the best way possible and to create your own morning routine. These are the stories of my clients that changed their lifestyle by implementing this simple step.

Story 1: Morning Exercise for a clear mind

“A morning routine is great if it serves your goals, and my goal was to enable the growth of my company while staying fit and healthy. So many of my friends who are businessmen and startup owners have diabetes, heart problems, back pain, etc. I didn’t want to be one of those husbands and dads. This is why one morning I woke up at 4:30 AM and said to myself – this is the day you change your habits.

It started simply as healthy breakfast and a half hour walk next to the beach, and it developed into what I do every morning now. I was searching for the perfect morning routine for myself for quite some time, and this is the one I can with most certainty say is serving my goals in the best possible way.

My job is really stressful since I have 100 people depending on me. I am here to provide them with guidance, new projects, motivation, good working conditions. I am also a father of 3 amazing girls.

Now I wake up every morning at 4:30 AM. Until 5 AM I meet with my personal trainer and start one hour exercise. The great thing about having a personal trainer is that they come to your home address or your favorite gym, so I do not have to rush to have my training and it is less stressful.

When I finish my exercise I take a shower and have a healthy breakfast – usually some green smoothie or eggs and bacon. Before starting this routine, I would usually stop at some fast food restaurant on my way to work, so I gained 15 pounds at one point. I have the special nutrition plan prepared by my coach Milos, so I don’t have to think much when it comes to food, I just follow the menu.

I usually go to bed around 10 PM. I still use the alarm on my phone to wake me up, but there is really something about you losing 10 pounds that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning.”


Story 2: Productive morning means a productive day

“Days when I don’t have my routine suck. They just suck. That’s what keeps me motivated to endure the pain of early wake-up time.

Yes, I always hated waking up early. But over time I realized that I don’t want to miss the most peaceful and beautiful part of the day sleeping. I want longer, sunnier days filled with laughter. This is what my morning routine helped me achieve.

I am a mom of a boy and a girl, 4 and 7 years old. I also studied finances at London Business School. Today most of my days I spend with my kids and working as a consultant.

I always struggled with waking up early. But yet, somehow my husband and I wake up every morning around 6 AM. We have almost the same morning routine, and this helps us with the organization for the day.

My phone’s alarm is what is waking me up. I live in a house and my bedroom is on the second floor. I keep my phone on the first floor next to the stairs so I would have to get up and turn it off. Then I scroll social media for about 10 minutes to check the news, I wake up my husband and we get ready for our exercise.

Before our personal trainer arrives we take some time to stretch in our living room. We just love meditating and the peace meditation provides us is really priceless. Then we usually exercise in the house or in the park nearby. I love that we have the opportunity to work out together and spend some quality time.

After the exercise, we have our breakfast, something simple and fast to prepare. Thanks to Tea it is not a struggle for us because we don’t have to plan our meals, she already did it for us. She also prepared a special nutrition plan for my kids, this just makes my life so much easier!

Then my kids go to school, my husband goes to work and I prepare one double espresso and simply take some time for myself. I strongly believe this is extremely important for overall happiness and productivity during the day. Take some time for yourself ladies!

Then I start working on my to-do list for the day and I start with my work.

I won’t lie, there are still days when I don’t want to wake up this early, this is not in my nature. But when I know that I am going to have an amazing exercise, spend time with my husband and have some time for myself – I just do it, no matter how much I struggle.”


As we previously mentioned, it is very important to find the perfect morning routine and stick to it. It is going to help you feel better, be positive, healthy and simple to organize your day. Don’t rush through mornings, morning is the most beautiful part of the day!
